Interactive Command Center: The control tower has a special smartphone slot that, when connected to the LEGO City Explorers app, serves as an interactive screen with a digital countdown. Additionally, the building has a built-in mechanical counter controlled by a knob that changes the displayed digits.

Railroad System: The set includes a loop of tracks with two railcars that transport personnel between the command center, research area and launch pad. This is a unique logistic element in the City series, which significantly increases the dynamics and realism of space base play.

Realistic NASA details: The set is based on real designs from the space agency, as seen in the design of the rover with an articulated gripper and the telescope with movable solar panels. These accessories promote STEM education and allow for scientific examination of the geodes included in the set.
